When large quantities of concrete are pumped, large quantities of oil flow in the hydraulic system. This is where Putzmeister concrete pumps with their free-flow hydraulics come into their own.
- The closed oil circuit in the FFH results in more performance and less waste of energy. This consumes less fuel and is therefore more economical.
- Instead of interrupting the flow of oil with a valve, an intelligent control system switches the direction of the oil flow inside the hydraulic pump.
- The lack of directional valves prevents unnecessary heating of the oil and also makes servicing easier.
- All the oil flows in a closed circuit from the pump to the drive cylinder and directly back to the pump, which means more output and less energy loss compared to an open system with a buffer oil tank.
- Putzmeister concrete pumps are therefore extremely powerful and convenient to use due to their method of power supply: A large oil pump together with a large drive cylinder is an efficient way of dealing with huge quantities of hydraulic oil whatever the situation.
For example: Taking the case of an ...11 H with an output of 110 m3/h at 75 bar, within the closed FFH circuit 425 litres of oil will be flowing per minute; with a ...16 H at 160 m3/h and 130 bar this will be 675 l/min. The freeflow hydraulics, successfully in service since 1981, means higher performance, lower costs and a guaranteed long and reliable service life.
